The Seattle Times and Newsday accused the two AI giants of using their content without permission.

Hello HN! I built a pipeline which fetches SEC EDGAR 10k and 10qs for more than 600 companies, maps xbrl-tags onto around 35 financial concepts and computes growth- , fundamental- and valuation-multiples (prices provided by yfinance). This project originated bc I wanted clean, non-third-party financial data in order to judge a trading thesis of mine. I could not find any app providing such data (for free), let alone being open source. Turns out there are no data providers because xbrl of 10ks and 10qs SUCKS(!!!!). It is messy, unregulated and devastated. Its the wild west of finance. A projecβ¦

The Meta is not triggered for human paced convos and hence a normal number can be used, have been using it successfully for a decent time now. Hey yβall! This is a repost[0], itβs been one month since weβve launched and have plenty[1] to show for it. Weβve grown to 600+ users so far, became part of Open Collective under Open Source Europe and weβve just started. For those who donβt know, the project is open-source[2] under the AGPL. OpenAI says it needs to overhaul how and when it reports instances of AI models attacking real-world targets. The acknowledgement comes as the company manages the fallout from reports that a swarm of its out-of-control agents hijacked a German wiki site. Regarding the "'wiki incident,' where our agents wrote to several internet sites," OpenAI wrote [β¦]

There will be no British interest in the second week of another Grand Slam at the US Open - but is it all doom and gloom?

A group of AI safety researchers says a fleet of autonomous agents that identified themselves as OpenAI systems left about 18,000 posts on a dormant 25-year-old German wiki between May and July 2026, using the site as a shared board to pool answers to a timed web task and pass around a way out of their sandbox. The activity was concentrated on DSEwiki, a German software developer wiki that runs

OpenAIβs latest agent swarm incident adds urgency to calls for independent investigations as researchers and lawmakers question whether AI labs should control the scope of their own safety reviews.

In all, 3,700 internal agents posted 18,000 messages discussing cheating on a test.
How scalably can we cheaply fine-tune small models for well-defined tasks? Frontier models are bad at clock reading. I fine-tuned a tiny 450M model from Liquid AI to match GPT-5.6 Sol and beat Fable 5.1 on this task. Hereβs my fine-tuned open model called Time Wizard.
