I have noticed that a lot of job posts that do not use any ATS, and in order to apply, they put their emails and ask candidates to apply with “X” in email subject. That seemed to be very counter productive — imagine having 300+ emails with resumes. Where do you manage them? In Excel? Or how many good candidates you never get to.
